Women in Wine & Spirits Awards 2024
Advisory Board Gathering-Beijing
The original intention of WINWSA is to encourage and promote the image of women in the drinks business, and to promote industry exchange and development. In addition to the mechanism and preparation of the Awards, it is necessary to strengthen the linkage within the industry and explore cross-field win-win cooperation, so as to truly “connect, inspire and empower“.
2024 welcomes the fifth edition of the Awards, where 2 significant cooperation had been official announced earlier this year. One is WIN.X, a cross-border platform co-founded with She Rewires, the domestic STEM industry platform; the other is the cooperation with Donne Del Vino (Italian Women’s Wine Association). Given the new challenges in drink industry, WINWSA 2024 will focus on the theme “Innovation” and “Sustainability”, led by the transformation and empowerment from movers and shakers in wine, spirits and other disciplinary backgrounds such as science and technology. More events in the second half of the year are to be expected.
During our gathering, the guests reviewed the Awards of the past 4 years and shared their visions and advice on the upcoming one to ensure optimal results.
Michelle Liu, the founder of WINWSA, said
“The mission of this award stayed the same,
promoting female leadership in drink industry and positive changes through our actions.
Throughout the past years, our community unifies the women across continents, also with more men peers who supported and encouraged our initiatives.
In today’s ever-changing market and society, we will further explore the topics on innovation, a core driver of transformation & economic resilience, as well as sustainability, which will become a vital strategic imperative. “
Special thanks to Beijing Metso Mei Trading Co., Ltd. and Aussino World Wines & Spirits, who brought to the gathering impressive experience with Monte Real Blanco Tempranillo made from high-altitude old vine grapes, and Bodegas Alejandro Fernandez Tinto Pesquera Reserva, the reputable “Spanish Petrus”.
