The partnership between the National Association Le Donne del Vino and WINWSA – Women in Wine and Spirits Awards was officially announced during Vinitaly on April 16th, 2024, followed by a celebration gala dinner the next day, as the closure of the wine show. The alliance between two organizations has the aim of creating a network of collaborations to expand the culture of wine, enhance the female figure in the wine supply chain and encourage shared initiatives.

PURPOSES

• 1.Develop the culture of wine and responsible consumption;
• 2.Promote the role of Le Donne del Vino in society and at work;
• 3.Promote shared initiatives, exchange of knowledge, business opportunities and training also through educational trips.

Activities planned by the partnership: expansion of tutorial training; organizing a forum in the year of 2024/2025; promotion of Italian wines in Asia, thanks to WINWSA’s networks.

Meanwhile, WINWSA 2024 Advisory Committee will involve the President of Le Donne del Vino, Daniela Mastroberardino or another representative of the Association to be part of the advisory committee for WINWSA 2024, and nominate Italian women for all registration categories.

In ways deemed most appropriate, both parties will communicate and promote joint initiatives through social networks and other communication channels Le Donne del Vino and WINWSA are committed to developing a collaboration based on a sharing criterion.
